Our First Fever

There are a lot of firsts I’m looking forward to, but a fever wasn’t one of them. Both girls developed low grade fevers yesterday due to their recent vaccinations. Ella more so than Ava, but after a few doses of infant Tylenol, everyone recovered. Our bed became the triage/cuddle center as I let both girls hang out all day with me. Ella snoozed most of the day and Ava sat quietly in my lap watching soaps. Throughout it all they kept smiles on their faces and ate really well. As for me, I am now well versed in taking a rectal temperature something I had not been looking forward to!
